Who is Nangolo Mbumba, Namibia's new President

Namibia on Sunday ushered in a new era as Nangolo Mbumba was sworn in as the fourth President ( interim).

The swearing-in ceremony took place in Windhoek, following the death of President Hage Geingob.

Mbumba was sworn in by Chief Justice Peter Shivute.

Consequently, Mbumba announced Deputy Prime Minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as Namibia's new Vice-President.

Namibia is in mourning after President Hage G. Geingob passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Lady Pohamba Hospital.
