KAUR: Rights activists ignore harm to women by transgender extremism

It’s a crime against humanity to allow trans-extremists to take and destroy women’s identity and rights.

In Summary

  • Homosexuals want to be what they are, transgenders want to be what they are not.
  • Homosexuals want their identity; trans-activists want women’s identity.

Mwangi complains religious groups “have instigated violence and discrimination through their platforms”. Careful. Like him, religious people have the right to their beliefs and free speech. That’s not necessarily the same as inciting or discriminating.

I enjoyed Alvin Mwangi’s article on LGBTQ in the Star edition of December 17, because one can appreciate a well-intentioned person. Even if they’re wrong.

What many rights activists do, is parrot what the West spouts on a given month. They adopt Western terminology and ideology, no matter how extreme, without question. They think this is a good thing. Often the West funds rights groups in Africa to further their social agendas.

Firstly, I agree there’s no excuse for violence against LGBT.

But it’s important to keep perspective. Mwangi highlights cyberbullying a gay artist faced. Cyberbullies don’t represent Kenyan society and no it isn’t “direct violence”.

Twenty years ago Nairobi had openly gay nights at city bars and frankly, no one cared, not even the cops. My generation discriminates even less and Kenya remains a safe haven for regional LGBT refugees.

Attitudes towards homosexuality differ among socioeconomic classes and the urban-rural divide as well as generationally in Kenya.

Although women and children face far higher levels of abuse than LGBT – and the numbers are not even close – LGBT abuse is serious.

Mwangi complains religious groups “have instigated violence and discrimination through their platforms”. Careful. Like him, religious people have the right to their beliefs and free speech. That’s not necessarily the same as inciting or discriminating.

Secondly, Mwangi undermines the good he seeks on gay issues by dismissing transgender activism as a non-issue.

It’s nonsensical to pretend homosexuality and transgender issues belong in the same category. UK homosexual organisation, LGB Alliance, is suing a transgender organisation because trans-extremism is harming gay rights and women.

Mwangi completely ignores the conflict of rights between trans-activism and gay and women’s rights, yet a real debate exists.

While consenting relationships between homosexuals don’t impact others, trans-activists pretending a man is a woman, hugely impacts women’s rights, opportunities, safety, sports and identity. Huge difference.

Homosexuals want to be what they are, transgenders want to be what they are not. Homosexuals want their identity; trans-activists want women’s identity.

Mwangi parrots the Western line of “inclusivity” saying “gender identity or expression is a non-issue.” (West defines gender as anything you decide to be – male, female, non-binary – irrespective of sex). Well, unless you live under a stone it’s a huge issue. He does not get to speak for women.

It’s not a non-issue that women are raped by men entering female spaces and toilets after “identifying as female”, or for women in the US, where a man who used to swim for the University of Pennsylvania men’s team, decided he was female and has now broken all US women college records, destroying women’s sports and demoralising women. This is sick.

It’s not a non-issue when a male rapist ‘identifies as a woman’, is put in a woman’s prison and rapes women again. The West classifies that as a rape “by a woman”, even though that “woman” is a man with a penis.

It’s not a non-issue when Western women speaking up for women’s rights, like JK Rowling, lose jobs, face death threats with trans-extremist gangs outside their homes terrorising them.

The West has lost all sense of humanity, common sense, truth and fairness over trans-activism, a project backed by American billionaires, fascists, misogynists and tech companies.

Truth is the first casualty of war. Chillingly, using brain-washing techniques China used on its Uyghur minority, the West’s forcing women to pretend a man is one of them, reprogramming society to think “the right way”, terrorising people into silence over trans-issues and punishing them by job losses, legal action, cyberbullying, death threats and violence for speaking the truth, that a man can never be a woman.

The West has lost its moral compass and become a frighteningly McCarthyistic society. No one should blindly follow.

Western psychologists can no longer do their jobs. In terrifying echos of the most brutal fascist regimes, psychologists are forbidden from counselling gender dysmorphic children to accept their sex identity.

Yet suicide rates of transgender people are the same before and after transition—gender dysmorphia is a mental condition that needs professional support, not politicisation by rights activists. This is not the same as being gay, a sexual orientation.

Kenyan psychologists need to be firm on non-interference in their work and any laws should be Kenyan, not foreign, focusing solely on whether to create another category for transgenders, not give them women’s category.

It’s a crime against humanity to allow trans-extremists to take and destroy women’s identity and rights. It’s long overdue for sports, religious leaders and politicians to take public positions on the West’s inhumane barbaric War on Women as it invades our shores.
