The government should channel more energy towards sinking more boreholes in northern Kenya.

It is disheartening to see the residents travel many kilometres into Uganda with their livestock just to look for water.

During election campaigns, water and food are often used as campaign tools in this region but after the polls politicians do not keep their end of the bargain.

The government, both county and national, is reluctant to address their plight.

It is also disturbing that only a few, close to none, government schools have been established in this region to help bring the residents to the same level as the rest of the country in terms of literacy.

It seems the Big Four agenda will be implemented in just about every part of Kenya except the North. Citizens in the North might as well decide not to vote in future elections until a permanent solution has been found to their challenges.
