It's almost two years now since the prices of agricultural products went high.

The effort that was being put across by farmers as far as agriculture is concerned seems to have reduced.

Unlike in ancient days when youths applied more effort in farming, they developed different routines.

Most of them migrate to urban centres to seek employment and instead, a large number of them end up missing their targets or assigned to unstable jobs depending on how lucky they are.

What if they utilise their time, skills and energy well and specialise in the production and marketing of agricultural products?

It is believed that the Western, Nyanza and Rift Valley regions are the backbones of agriculture due to what people term fertile lands and favourable weather conditions.

Even though the government tried its best to step in to settle the issue, it was quite tough to manage and maintain the budget.

Later, it was not enough for all Kenyans.

It is advisable that since it's planting season two in most regions, most jobless youths should vacate urban centres to their rural lands to keep themselves busy with farm work.

By doing so, unemployment cases will reduce and we will have more agricultural products to sell to earn a living.
