The leadership of Parliament has allegedly kicked out Parliamentary Journalists from accessing the main Parliament building.
While no formal communication has been released to this effect, sources claim the move stems from the media coverage of Gen Z's invasion of Parliament.
Parliament is, however, yet to respond.
Via X on Tuesday, Citizen TV Journalist Stephen Letoo claimed Parliament plans to bar journalists from operating within its precincts.
Letoo also claimed there is a plan to bar some journalists from covering the national assembly.
"Other than the relocation of Parliamentary Journalists to Outside Parliament, there is a resolution to ban some journalists myself included who covered #OccupyParliament from stepping in the new area," he alleged.
Another journalist who did not want to be named also said the Media Centre is set to be relocated to a place outside the main building but next to Bunge Tower.
"The staff canteen will also be relocated from the main building," the journalist said.
The Journalist said a meeting has been called with the Kenya Parliamentary Journalists Association on Wednesday to discuss the matter.
Journalists have not accessed the place since June 25, when protesters stormed the place.
Initially, a media relations officer had told journalists that all non-parliamentary staff had been barred from accessing the premises until repairs were done.
However, there are claims that the Leadership is unhappy with the way the media exposed MPs during the protests.
Media reported how MPs scrambled for safety at the underground tunnel during the invasion.
