After giving up on the electorate, a governor from Central is now scheming for a senior executive position in the next administration. Corridors of Power has it that the person has become so unpopular with the residents to the point of no longer bothering with development projects in the county. Voters are believed to have already made up their minds to have another politician take over in 2027. Aware of the unfolding situation, the deputy governor is not wasting any opportunity to package and present himself as the alternative.

A state functionary is not making Kenyans smile in the current difficult financial times. The man has unashamedly decided to splurge over Sh300,000 to pass nights at a high-end city hotel. What has left tongues wagging is the fact that the man is spending nights at the facility yet he is housed by taxpayers at a posh address. It’s not clear why the fellow decided to abandon his residence.

The chairperson of the board of a fund under the tourism ministry is now the talk of the corridors of the institution he heads for arrogating himself the powers of the management. Our snitch at the fund tells us that without any shame the man, who is close to the powers that be, reports very early to the office and leaves late every day yet he holds no executive chairmanship. To make matters worse, the board chairman has curtailed the free operations of the management and staff as he always demands to know what is being procured and for what purpose. He reportedly dictates who is to be appointed or promoted, leaving the management with nothing much to do but to be spectators over what they are employed to do.
