Is there depression and frustration among staff of a critical ministry? These are the questions being asked following an alleged tragedy involving a senior ministry staffer. Sources whisper to Corridors two staff working for the ministry are supposedly hospitalised in two different countries due to depression-related complications. The trend is reported to be equally rampant at the ministry headquarters. It's said if the bosses don't like you, they purportedly resort to frustrating their juniors. A common trend is denying them trips, allowances and promotions. Staff now want the Public Service Commission to intervene and save them from sadistic bosses.
A prominent Nyanza man is the talk of the town for allegedly conning and failing to settle his bills in hotels, restaurants and bars. Even car wash and shoe shiners have not been spared by the smartly dressed man who drives a big car. The man has a penchant for rushing out of hotels, bars, and restaurants on a promise of settling the bills via mobile money, only to go into hiding or avoid the premises. The man, who talks big about political connections, was recently embroiled in a melee at a posh bar after failing to pay a bill over Sh10,000.

It appears all is not well at a popular political party amid reports of a serious clash between two major players who both want to call the shots. Corridors is apprised that the bitter row, which the two have however worked hard to keep under wraps, could soon spill into the public. This is the fear among insiders should the two fail to reach a truce in the already heated internal battle. Those in the know say that one of the parties has made it categorical that handing him a plum job is the only way to save the outfit from sinking under the weight of the row.
