Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across four counties on Friday to give room for system maintenance.
The controlled power outage will be initiated at varied times between 8am and 5pm.
The utility firm issues public notices hours prior to performing routine system maintenance to enable customers make necessary arrangements to mitigate inconviniences.
Areas to be affected by the schedule power disconnections lie within Uasin Gishu in North Rift region, Kakamega in Western and Meru and Embu in Mt Kenya region.
Uasin Gishu
Areas to be affeted are within Moiben centre.
Power will be switched off from 10am to 4pm in Moiben Centre, Chebororwa, Kabomoi and adjacent customers
Kakamega county
Power will go off from 9am to 5pm.
Areas to be affected are Manyulia, Butere Market, Shiatsala, Butere Girls, Namasoli, Masaba, Manyala and adjacent customers.
Meru county
Kenya Power will switch off electiricity from 8am to 5pm.
Customers to be affected are those within Antubochiu Market, Kaundunyiri village, Thunguma, Amwamba School, Kiiji Market, Achenge, Kiurune village, Red Canteen, Amungeti Mission, Kimongoro Market, Kanuni Market, Athimba, Antuambui, Ntheroni Market, Kirindine, Athi Market, Igembe Tea Factory, Amunju, Tiira Market, Ugoti Market, Marega Market, Rigii, Ncheme, Mbor-oga and adjacent customers.
Embu county
Power will go out between 8am and 5pm in areas within Kamburu, Kiandaruma and Kiambere.
They include Kamburu, Matendeni, Gitaru, Kindaruma KenGen Camps, Kiambere Complex, Kiambere KenGen Wa-ter Intake and Treatment, Ngiiri Market, Kavuui, Katothya, Karura, Gatete, Mutindwa, Gwakarigu, Cieria and adjacent customers.
