One victim of alleged abduction, Billy Mwangi has vowed to forgive those who reportedly abducted him.
Mwangi said that he has forgotten all that happened and he leaves everything to God.
Mwangi was reportedly abducted on December 21 last year and was found alive on Monday in Embu County.
In a video seen by the Star, Mwangi stated that he was mentally tortured to the point of not recognising anything.
"I thank God for my family, Embu residents and X family, those who abducted and put me in that situation. My parents know that I do not have a criminal record, I want to forgive them, I leave them to God. Human is to error," he said on Tuesday.
Mwangi further stated that his X account was hacked and he no longer controls his social media accounts.
Some of the victims who were allegedly abducted were found alive on Monday.
Mwangi, Peter Muteti, Benard Kavuli, Kibet Bull and his brother Rony Kibet were found alive following pressure from social media users, some leaders and activists.
On Monday, Manyatta MP Gitonga Mukunji alleged that Mwangi was subjected to physical torture.
Mukunji who was addressing the press in Embu claimed Billy was locked up in a dark room, whipped and given little meals by his abductors.
He did not, however, state where he was being held.
“Preliminary report is that the young man is seriously traumatised, he has been whipped. When we were enjoying the Christmas holidays the young man was locked in an unknown place and he does not know that place,” he claimed.
While condemning the emerging cases of abductions in the country, Mukunji called for an end to it.
"Let Billy be the last person to go through the ordeal that he has gone through. Let his parents be the last people who have gone through that ordeal,” the MP said.
He also vowed to look into ways of amending laws to ensure the safety of Kenyans is safeguarded.
The abduction of Billy, Mukunji claimed, was an attempt to instil fears in critics as “no formal charges have been levelled against him.”
