The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is set to unleash auctioneers on prominent political leaders to recover over Sh400 million court awards.
In what may be baptism by fire for many, IEBC is going after the political elite who sued it after the 2013 and 2017 polls but lost, and were consequently slapped with punitive damages.
While bigwigs with deep pockets may easily pay, the new IEBC tactic could easily ruin “hustlers” who unsuccessfully tried their hands in politics.
