Siaya County Woman Representative Christine Ombaka has claimed that the ongoing demonstrations are a result of the West's influence over the state.

Ombaka expressed concern over the recurring protests in the country, suggesting that they could escalate into a revolution if President William Ruto does not respond to the demands of Gen Z.

She highlighted that Ethiopia, Uganda, and Somalia view Kenya as a puppet of the West, attributing this perception to the arrogance of some  MPs who failed to grasp the implications of the Finance Bill.

Ombaka also raised concerns about Kenya's alignment as a non-NATO ally potentially provoking conflict with Russia.

She advocated for a cultural shift towards self-reliance and meritocracy, citing inefficiencies in devolution, with 80 per cent of devolved funds being consumed by recurrent expenditures.

Ombaka also urged the youth, particularly Gen Z, to elect leaders who prioritize action over dialogue and resist Western influence.

She also called for a stop to the abduction of Kenyans.
