President William Ruto has made new appointments to various state agencies.

In a gazette notice dated June 14, Ruto appointed Former Busia Governor Sospeter Odeke Ojaamong to be the Chairperson of the NEPAD/APRM Kenya Governing Council.

He is also set to chair the council for a period of three years, with effect from the date of appointment.

The President has appointed Bernadette Ng'ang'a to be the chairperson of the Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board.

Ng'ang'a will chair the board for three years beginning from the date of appointment.

"I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya appoint Bernadette Ng'ang'a to be the chairperson of the Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board," the gazette notice reads in part.

Ruto further appointed Albert Cege to be the Chairperson of the Kenya Academy of Sports Council.

Cege will also serve for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the date of appointment.

Ruto appointed Ratemo Waya Michieka to be the Chancellor at Tharaka University.

"I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint Ratemo Waya Michieka (PROF) to be the Chancellor of Tharaka University, for a period of five (5) years," he said.

Ratemo's appointment takes effect from June 14, 2024.
