The Senate will on Tuesday hold a special sitting to deliberate on matters including the county allocation revenue bill and the county government’s additional revenue bill.

Other key issues to be considered during the sitting are the Independence Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) amendment bill and the county licensing (uniform procedures) both originating from the National Assembly.

Kuccps opens the KMTC portal.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service has opened its portal to allow applications for KMTC September intake.

The application deadline is June 21, 2024.

KUCCPS said the application targets qualified KCSE holders from 2014 to 2023 who wish to enrol in KMTC programmes.

Teachers union reaction on TSC sending termination letters.

Teachers Unions react to Teachers Service Commission sending out termination letters to Junior Secondary School intern teachers.

The Intern teachers who have been protesting for the past few weeks seeking permanent employment terms started receiving alleged termination letters from their employer. 

Kenya National Union of Teachers had earlier taken over the impasse between the interns and TSC calling for an amicable solution.

Court to give fresh directions in Kidero's Sh58m graft case

The anti-corruption Court in Nairobi will today issue directions in a case where former Governor Evans Kidero is charged alongside 12 others with conspiracy to commit an offence of corruption.

Prosecutors say the Sh58 million in question was paid to the a law firm on January 7, 2014, despite not having rendered any services to City Hall.

Kidero was charged in the case on April 29, 2019, alongside 15 others.
