President William Ruto is set to participate on Wednesday in a high-level presidential dialogue.

This year's meeting is themed “Africa’s Transformation: the African Development Bank, and the Reform of the Global Financial Architecture".

The theme is set against the realisation that despite sustained economic growth over the past two decades, Africa’s economic transformation remains a work in progress with a lot more to be done.

Participants will discuss strategies, policies, and interventions to create the "Africa we want".

They will also discuss the slow pace of transformation in Africa, identifying the key challenges and opportunities.

Last mile connectivity

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company is set to unveil the Sh26.8 billion fourth phase of the last-mile connectivity project.

It seeks to benefit an additional 280,473 households across 32 counties.

The project will involve the installation of 940 new transformers, maximising the 3,735 existing transformers, and constructing associated power lines in the identified counties.

NHC 70th anniversary

The National Housing Corporation will today commemorate 70 years of impacting lives through innovative housing solutions by unveiling a new brand and launching their FY 2023/2027 Strategic Plan.

Head of Public Service Felix Koskei will be the chief guest at the event to be held at the Bomas of Kenya.

World Health Assembly

The 77th World Health Assembly starts today in Geneva, Switzerland.

WHA is the key decision-making body of the World Health Organization and is comprised of 194 member states.

Delegates from these member states meet every May to agree on WHO's policies and priorities.
