You can now undo “delete for me” – WhatsApp says

WhatsApp, an application that is under parent company Meta released a new update that assists its users to be able to undo the 'delete for me' option.

"Ever meant to delete a message for everyone, but deleted it just for you? Well, now you can undo it. Yep, deleting never felt so good," WhatsApp said. 

In a video animation shared by WhatsApp, it shows how the  user can go about undoing a message that they had deleted just 'for me.'

After deleting a message 'for me', another 'message' pops up that says undo. After pressing undo, the message appears back which now you can delete for everyone.

To undo the deletion, tap undo within five seconds before the message is permanently deleted.

"This is particularly useful if you sent a message to the wrong chat or the message you sent contains a mistake. As a group admin, you can remove problematic messages in a chat," WhatsApp said.

This new feature is set out to help its users change the settings for a mistaken attempt to delete for everyone.
