Police are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body at a river meandering through Nairobi City at the Globe Cinema area.

The body had been swept downstream to the site where it was discovered by the public.

It had been stuck at the riverbank at the time it was discovered on Wednesday, May 15. A curious crowd gathered at the scene.

Police with the help of the public retrieved it and established it had no visible injuries.

The body was naked when it was retrieved.

Central police boss Doris Kimeli said they are investigating the death.

She added they had moved the body to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.

In the Clay City area, Kasarani, Nairobi, a 30-year-old man was found dead in his house after a suspected suicide.

The body of John Wangundu was discovered with a foam oozing from his nose.

Police said a suicide note and two empty bottles of pesticide were recovered on the bed.

The body was moved to Kenyatta Hospital Mortuary awaiting autopsy.

Meanwhile, a 34-year-old man was found dead after a suspected suicide incident in Ganze, Kilifi.

The body of Hance Baraka Yaa, 34 was found hanging from the roof with a rope tied around his neck inside his house.

The motive of the incident is yet to be known, police said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
