The family of late Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Francis Ogollo continued to extol his virtues on Sunday during the final send-off describing him as gentle and caring.

Expressing his sadness over the loss, Hezekiah Oduor, Ogolla’s brother lamented that the departed soldier has left an irreplaceable void in the family.

Emphasizing his significant role in the family, Oduor highlighted that he was a reliable man who took great care of their father.

“He has left a very big gap in our family. He was making sure our dad gets medication and checkups regularly, and also making sure he sends something for the widows in his hands,” he said.

He noted that there were over 30 widows that he was supporting including sponsoring orphans from the area.

“...and he had no boundaries in terms of economic, social or education background for anyone,” he said.

Ogolla’s father who is turning 100 years was to celebrate on Saturday and he (Ogolla) was to attend a ceremony planned at his rural home.

Oduor further stated that his brother supported their local church immensely.
