UDA national youth leader Kariuki Ngunjiri has appealed to youth affiliated with the party to participate in the grassroots elections running from April to August 2024.

Ngunjiri assured the youth that the party would provide an open and fair opportunity for young people to choose their leaders and even contest for various seats.

“Young people will not be overlooked during the grassroots elections. Youth who wish to use the elections to launch their political careers will be accorded equal and fair opportunity,” he stated.

He added that youth who will not be seeking party positions should also participate in the elections by voting for people who will implement the party manifesto.

“Come out in large numbers and vote for people who will drive the party forward. That way, you will guarantee yourselves a safe place in the party,” he stated.

Ngunjiri was speaking at UDA headquarters in Nairobi on Wednesday when the party was receiving Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza as a new member.
