A suspected thief who tried to gain entry into a house fell and died therein before his decomposed body was discovered days later in Kasarani.

The body was discovered Monday evening after it started to rot and disturbed neighbours at an apartment.

The tenant had gone for an unknown time when the suspect tried to gain entry thereby cutting the window grill since the door was closed.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and further processing.

The owner of the house was contacted and informed of the tragedy.

Meanwhile, police are investigating a murder in the discovery of a body of a man along Mombasa Road.

The body of the man was discovered near the Tulip Building by pedestrians.

Police said the body had visible injuries on the face.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.

Dandora

In Mowlem, Dandora, a 32-year-old man died after falling on his head on the staircase of an apartment.

Police said Francis Mwangi Njuguna slipped and fell on the stairs case of a five-story building and sustained injuries on the jaws.

He was rushed to Jamii Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.

Ukwala

In Ukwala, Ugenya, a 48-year-old woman died by suicide.

This is after she allegedly swallowed a poisonous chemical.

Police said they found a bottle that contained the chemical in the house.
