A three-judge bench will today hear the case challenging the implementation of the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF).
Justice Alfred Mabeya will be presiding over the case filed by activist Enock Aura.
Chief Justice Martha Koome tasked Mabeya, Robert Limo, and Fridah Mugambi to deal with the case filed last year.
Case on doctors' strike
The Court is also set to hear a case challenging doctors' strike.
Last week, the labour court extended orders suspending the strike to allow for negotiations and agreement on essential services that should continue in the event of a strike.
Justice Byrum Ongaya said an agreement on minimum services must be provided to avoid strikes where patients are left unattended.
Echesa to appear in court over Sh39b fake arms case
Former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa will today appear before the court for further directions in the Sh39 billion fake arms case.
Milimani Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina directed the defence to present Echesa before him, after he failed to appear on March 4.
Then, the court heard that he was bereaved and had traveled upcountry.
It prayed for more time hence today's appearance.
Echesa had been acquitted in the case but after an appeal, the High Court ordered that the file be remitted back to the trial court to formally place the ex-CS and his four co-accused on their defence.
It said the state had presented a strong case against them.
