On the radar: Ruto to lead launch of women governors' G7 strategy

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu is expected to preside over the release of the long-awaited competency-based education and training (CBET) results slips, certificates and November/December 2023 Assessment series results.

These will be the first certificates to be released since the launch of CBET in 2019.

The official programme starts at 3 pm at the Kenya School of TVET (Formerly KTTC)-Gigiri UN Avenue.

Principal Secretary State Department for Technical, Vocational Education and Training Esther Thaara Muoria among other officials will be in attendance.

G7 strategy launch

President William Ruto to preside over the launch of G7Strategy by the council of governors.

G7 is a caucus bringing together the seven elected women governors.

They are Council of Governors chairperson Ann Waiguru,  governors Susan Kihika(Nakuru), Wavinya Ndeti(Machakos), Fatuma Achani(Kwale), Kawira Mwangaza(Meru) and Embu's Cecily Mbarire.

It seeks to empower and support women leaders in demonstrating efficient, transformational and strategic governance within the devolved structures.

Part of its strategies is to localise mentorship programmes set up in the women-led seven counties and lobby for women nominations in various political parties among others.

Road safety campaign

Matatu Owners Association (MOA) president Albert Karakacha will preside over the launch of a road safety campaign for public vehicles.

The event to be attended by traffic police officers, officials from NTSA, and matatu saccos representatives will be held at Makongeni police station, along Jogoo Rd.

Konza Technopolis

Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura to make a project tour of Konza Technopolis and later give an update on matters of national importance.
