EX-CS Echesa to appear in court in Sh39bn arms deal case
Ex-Sports CS Richard Echesa will today be arraigned at the Milimani Chief Magistrates Court for directions in the Sh39 billion arms deal.
Echesa has been charged with conspiracy to commit a felony by conspiring to make a document with intent to defraud.
Echesa has also been charged alongside three others with six counts of making a false document in the Sh39.5 billion fake arms deal.
They are also alleged to have obtained Sh11.5 million from Kozlowski Stanley Bruno by purporting that they would award him with a tender to supply military equipment.

UN agency, Regional Centre on Small Arms and Light Weapons to address a press conference
Regional Centre on Small Arms and Light Weapons in partnership with United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Africa (UNREC) and United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs will hold a Press Briefing for the Regional Preparatory Meeting for East and Southern Africa Fourth Review Conference on Small Arms and Light Weapons at Sarova Panafric.

Duale leaves for Egypt to meet his counterpart
Defence Cabinet Secretary (CS) Aden Duale is expected to kick off a three-day official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Duale will be hosted by his Egyptian counterpart Gen. Mohamed Ahmed Zaki.
The visit is aimed at reinforcing the strategic partnership between Kenya and Egypt.
Delegations from Nairobi and Cairo are expected to discuss a range of topics including regional security, implementation of cooperation agreements on maritime and aerial security and opportunities for professional military academic institutions.
CS Ndung’u to make a presentation to MPs on the Budget Policy Statement
