Azimio leaders have arrived in Homa Bay for the county's second edition of the international investment conference taking place at Tom Mboya University grounds.
The leaders include Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa, and former governors Mwangi Wa Iria(Murang'a) and Charity Ngilu(Kitui) among others.
The Azimio brigades are expected to talk of their support for Raila to succeed in his desire to become the chairman of the African Union Commission.
Raila had announced his interest in the highest seat in the continent. The team is also expected to maintain the support grip they have been having in Homa Bay and Nyanza region.
Nyanza is a Raila stronghold in terms of political support. Residents have been overwhelmingly supporting Raila in his presidential quest.
On Tuesday, Raila allies including Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga and Senator Moses Kajwang urged President William Ruto to do everything possible to ensure Raila gets the African Union Commission chairman.
They said they support the shuttle diplomacy being undertaken by the President to ensure Raila takes the leadership of the union.
Wanga said they stand with Raila and the people supporting his desire to become the chairman of AUC.
The leaders said they support the initiative but they remain behind Raila and his ODM party.
"We're in support of you holding hands with our leader Raila for AUC chairmanship. We stand rightly behind Raila and everyone who supports his candidature," Wanga said.
The governor thanked the President for the ongoing development projects being undertaken in the county
.They include 110 units of affordable houses, construction of a fish market, renovation of Homa Bay, Mbita and Kendu Bay piers and other fish landing sites.
Kajwang said Raila has made remarkable contributions to the country, especially in devolution and cannot be wished away.
He argued that Raila is a pillar who still holds the country together.
"Despite that, you're the captain (President Ruto) the one who steers our ship is Raila he is our cornerstone as a people and we together support you," Kajwang said.
