A bodaboda rider was killed in a robbery incident involving his motorcycle in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

The half-naked body of John Nzila Nzomo was discovered on the roadside in Kwa Waira Farm by locals who promptly notified the police.

Initially, locals observed blood stains on the road, which led them to the scene where they found the body with visible injuries.

Upon police investigation, it was determined that he had been struck with a blunt object on the head, with additional injuries suggesting the body was dragged to the scene to conceal it from the main road, the police stated regarding the Sunday evening incident.

His mobile phone and the motorcycle were missing. The body was moved to the mortuary pending investigations and autopsy.

In a separate incident, a woman was arrested after fatally stabbing a male friend during an altercation in Ilasit, Kajiado County.

The altercation occurred at a bar where the two had been drinking on Saturday evening, according to police reports.

James Lomunyaka Ongubo succumbed to stab wounds in hospital after the altercation, police confirmed

Witnesses recounted that the argument began when the deceased asked the assailant to answer his ringing mobile phone and pretend to be a woman referred to as 'Hellen'

In the process, Ongubo slapped the suspect in the thigh telling her to speak on the phone and pretend to be Hellen.

Enraged, the woman grabbed a kitchen knife, wrestling Ongubo to the ground and stabbing him in the chest.

Although the witnesses initially believed the wound was not serious, Ongubo's condition worsened overnight, prompting his family to rush him to Loitoktok Sub-county Hospital, where he was pronounced dead while receiving treatment.

The woman was apprehended by locals and handed over to the police. Investigations into the matter are ongoing."
