Police are looking for a gang of three that shot and injured a man during a robbery mission in Huruma, Nairobi.

The victim was shot and wounded in the left wrist in the Wednesday night incident.

The victim told police he was on his way home when he was confronted by a gang riding on a motorcycle.

This prompted a brief fight that saw one of the three gunmen reach for his pistol and shoot the victim in the wrist.

The gang was targeting cash and other valuables from the victim, police said.

Police warn against resistance to such a mission as it can turn tragic and at times fatal.

The bullet got lodged in the wrist as the gang jumped onto the motorcycle and escaped.

Police officers visited the scene and the victim was rushed to MSF Hospital along Juja Road and later referred to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital for further treatment.

No arrest has been made. Residents said the same gang had been attacking and robbing them.

A hunt on the gang is ongoing, police said.

Elsewhere, detectives are pursuing a gang that raided a petrol station in Mashuru, Kajiado and robbed an attendant of Sh150,000.

The incident happened at Wario Filling Station in Selengei Shopping Centre, police said of the Wednesday night incident.

Two men riding on a motorcycle rode to the station and asked it be filled with fuel.

After refuelling, the pump attendant requested payment but the suspects who were armed with rungus alighted and attacked him.

He said he was hit and fell on the floor before being robbed Sh150,000 he had in his pocket.

During the incident, the pump attendant sustained an injury on his right-hand palm.

The gang escaped on their motorcycle. Police arrived at the scene and declared a hunt on the men is ongoing.

The team is reviewing security cameras in the area as part of the probe into the attack.
