Former Auditor General Edward Ouko seems to be enjoying his retirement.

This is after a video of him jamming to a song at a function thrilled Kenyans online.

In the video, the jovial Ouko is seen in the company of Siaya Governor James Orengo dancing together before Orengo leaves.

Ouko, however, remains on the dance floor dancing to a song as a benga artist is performing at the undisclosed function.

Dressed in a long-sleeved shirt and a cap, he jams to the song with vigour and energy in a manner to suggest he is enjoying and having a good time.

Kenyans who reacted to the video said he was enjoying himself having served as the AG diligently and having no corruption scandals to follow him into his retirement.

Ouko assumed office as the Auditor General on August 27, 2011, and left in August 2019 after serving a full term.

In September 2022, he was appointed by Orengo to chair a task force to forensically audit the financial and human resource operations of Siaya county.

Ouko led a team of six other members to evaluate, assess and determine the county’s human resource establishment and revenue administration in 60 days.
