Police are investigating the drowning of a man aged 18 in a pool of water in Mukuru slums.
The body of Simon Wamalwa was retrieved from the water after he had drowned on Monday evening, police said.
The circumstances under which the drowning happened are yet to be known, police said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and further probe.
It is not clear if he was killed and dumped into the water, police said.
Cases of drowning and bodies being discovered at various places in the city have been on the rise with officials blaming rains.
Meanwhile, police in Nyamusi, Nyamira, are investigating the murder of an 18-year-old man.
The victim was a secondary school student.
The body was found lying in a compound in Bondeka village with visible deep-cut injuries on the head, and neck and a broken left hand.
A broken piece of panga and some cigarette filters were recovered at the scene and kept as exhibits.
The motive of the murder is yet to be known, police said adding investigations are ongoing.
Police are investigating the suicide incident of one Ellud Mathu, 37, in Kabete, Nairobi.
Residents found the deceased dangling from a sisal rope, which was tied to the rafter of his house.
Police said they are yet to establish the motive of the incident.
