Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has responded to former president Uhuru Kenyatta after his remarks in Mwingi on Sunday.

The CS was responding to Uhuru's declaration asking the Kenya Kwanza government not to blame his administration for their failures, saying the current government should instead address the problems facing Kenyans.

In an X post on Monday, Kuria said the full magnitude of the mess left behind is dawning on Kenyans.

"We are not complaining. We will continue to clean the mess," he said.

Kuria said Kenya is currently navigating the murky waters.

“Every time one is unable to do what he should do they blame the past government, [with this trend] even if the wife has refused to give birth it will be blamed on us, but we are used to this,” Uhuru said.

Uhuru urged the leaders to stay the course and be loyal to ensure that the country is in a better place.

"Lazima tuhakishe kwamba nchi yetu iko sawa, watoto wameenda shule na kuna amani," he said.

"Tusiwe viongozi wenye tamaa. Let us not engage ourselves in the negative politics."

The former president added that it is not time to be afraid of anything, but to stay the course.

"Tulitishwa mara ee, sijui ooh, tumeambiwa sijui nini, sijui serikali iliopita ooh, tumezoea, kwa sasa kila mtu afanye shughuli yake, na tusonge mbele pamoja," he added.
