Police are investigating an incident where a 14-year-old boy drowned while swimming in Lake Naivasha.
The deceased was in the company of other friends when the incident happened on October 5, police said.
The body of the boy was later retrieved from the waters hours after the drowning.
Police said the body was moved to the local mortuary ahead of a planned autopsy.
Meanwhile, police are holding a 15-year-old boy over the murder of his father in Mwariki area, Nakuru.
The juvenile told police his father fell on a sharp knife.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Samuel Kariuki Rukwaro, 49, lying in a pool of blood with a knife on his chest.
Police said they later established the deceased and his wife fought over domestic issues before the juvenile joined and stabbed the father in the chest killing him in the Saturday incident.
The woman tried to stop the bleeding in vain. She later escaped the scene and is yet to be arrested, police said.
The boy was arrested ahead of planned grilling and arraignment.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other processes.
Elsewhere in Muhoroni area, Kericho, a bodaboda rider was killed and robbed of his motorcycle in an incident.
The body of Ezekiel Odhiambo, 25, was found in a sugar plantation long after the incident had happened.
His motorcycle was missing at the scene.
Police who visited the scene said the body had a visible deep cut on the neck.
The motorcycle ignition key and slippers were found at the scene where the body was abandoned.
It is suspected the man was abducted from Muhoroni town and taken to the scene where he was killed on Saturday.
A hunt on the suspected killers is ongoing, police said adding the motorcycle is yet to be recovered.
