A seven-year-old boy drowned while fetching water from a dam in a village in the Nginyang area of Baringo County.

The boy was in the company of other children and had gone to Chesirimion dam within the Kokore Sub-location when he accidentally slipped into the deep waters.
The body was moved to the Kabarnet County referral hospital mortuary, awaiting a postmortem examination.

A relative told police that the deceased had a history of epilepsy and collapsed and died in an attack.
