Ruto's UDA most popular party at 34% – TIFA

President William Ruto's UDA party remains the most popular party in the country, a new survey by TIFA shows.

UDA's popularity level, the survey shows, is twice that of Opposition leader Raila Odinga's ODM.

The survey conducted in June places UDA at 34 per cent in popularity followed by ODM follows with 16 per cent while Jubilee comes third with three percent.

"All others combined attract less than half of that of ODM."

Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper has a popularity of two percent.

"A substantial proportion declined to identify with any party either by claiming to be "undecided" or more emphatically declaring they support "none" or simply not answering the question at all," the report states.

The survey was conducted between September 8 - September 10, 2023. It involved 1,007 respondents.

Data was collected through Telephonic Interviews conducted (with respondents whose contacts were collected through previous face-to-face (i.e., household-based interviews)

"Interviews conducted in Swahili (mainly) and English," Tifa said.

Nationally Representative Sample was spread across nine zones; Central Rift, Coast, Lower Eastern, Mt Kenya, Nairobi, Northern, Nyanza, South Rift, and Western, with a margin error of +/- 3.1%.
