Police are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were separately found in Nairobi estates.
The bodies were in an advanced state of decomposition when discovered, and the victims were living alone at the time of the incidents.
The incidents in Riruta and Kasarani areas are unrelated and police are investigating them to get possible killers.
Riruta incident
A relative had gone to visit Felix Makio when they stumbled upon his lifeless body in his bedroom.
Makio had not been seen for two days until September 18 when the body was found.
Police said the relative had attempted to reach him via his mobile phone but received no response.
Concerned, the relative visited Makio's house and inquired with neighbors, who reported not seeing him for two days.
The neighbours broke into the house where they found the body.
Police were called to the scene and processed it before moving the body to the mortuary pending probe.
Kasarani incident
The decomposing body of Victoria Mwende, 28, was found in her bedroom.
A neighbor went to check on her and discovered her body in bed, emitting a foul odor.
The door to her house was partially open. It is suspected that she died days earlier, with the body being discovered on September 17.
Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei stated that they are investigating a possible murder in these incident, as a white cloth was found tied around the deceased's neck.
"It seems she may have been killed but we do not know the motive and those behind the same. A probe is ongoing to know more," he said.
Her mobile phone was recovered beside her body and was kept as an exhibit, police said.
Police said they are yet to establish the motive of the murder.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and probe.
