Police in Kajiado are investigating a case in which a man was on Friday found dead in a guest house in Ngong.
Police said the man booked the room at the said guest house at around midnight on Thursday.
“On Friday, the workers of the guest house found the room locked up from the inside as they were doing the cleaning,” Kajiado North subcounty commander Abduba Hussein said.
Hussein said the workers used a spare key to open the room only to find the said man lying on the floor.
He said the scene was visited by police officers and found the body lying on the floor.
“Besides the body were remains of a poison sachet. The body had no visible injuries but there was mucus from the mouth and nose,” Hussein said
He said the scene was processed and documented and later the body was moved to the city mortuary awaiting autopsy.
