PHOTOS: KDF troops on patrol in North Kivu help pregnant woman deliver

Troops from the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) have once again warmed hearts with an act of kindness.

This is after they helped a mother in labour and in dire need to safely deliver her bundle of joy.

The troops under the East African Community Regional Force (EACRF) were on patrol on Saturday when they were called to attend to a woman in labour pains.

KDF which took to their social media on Monday to celebrate the milestone said the troops were on patrol at Kibumba, in Nyiragongo Territory, North Kivu Province of DRC.

“With hospital facilities remaining closed in the area, the KDF medical team conducted a successful delivery and stabilised the mother and baby,” KDF said in a statement.

They then transferred the mother and her baby to Kinyaruchinya Health Centre in Goma for further management.
