Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has called for an immediate press conference to address how the ongoing anti-government demos are affecting international relations.

Mutua on Wednesday said the truth needs to be told on how the demos are impacting foreign affairs.

"I will hold a press conference at 1 pm today at the Foreign and Diaspora Affairs headquarters on Harambee Avenue. The truth needs to be told," he said.

This comes as the Azimio Coalition announced the demos will take place for three straight days from Wednesday to Friday.

Foreign missions on Tuesday moved to weigh in on the ongoing demos raising their concern over the current state of the nation.

The foreign missions, in their joint statement, called for peaceful resolutions to the current protests in Kenya.

"We recognise the daily hardship faced by many Kenyans and urge all parties to table their concerns through a meaningful dialogue and resolve their differences peacefully to build the nation together," the ambassadors said.

The missions said they are saddened by the loss of life and further raised concern over the high level of violence witnessed during demos.

"Including the use of live rounds and the destruction of property, during the recent demonstrations," they said in the statement.

They called for peaceful solutions to the demos to ensure no further loss of life.

The foreign missions said they stand ready to support both the Kenya Kwanza and the Azimio Coalition in their efforts to find constructive and peaceful solutions.

The foreign missions that were part of the statement included Australia, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Ukraine, Canada, Finland, USA and UK among others.
