A section of the Kenya Kwanza leaders from Mount Kenya region has reaffirmed government commitment to delivering on the promises outlined in its campaign manifestos.

Speaking to Star, Kipipiri MP Wanjiku Muhia and her Gatanga Counterpart Edward Muria said that the government is putting a strong focus on economic development and inclusive governance.

Wanjiku said that the government aims to prioritize the welfare of Kenyan citizens and steer the nation toward progress and prosperity.

She noted that President William Ruto and Deputy Rigathi Gachagua have tasked elected leaders to unite electorates and at the same time launch economic empowerment programs in their respective constituencies.

“The Kenya Kwanza team has set forth a comprehensive agenda designed to address key challenges and transform various sectors of the country.

"This includes initiatives to bolster the economy, enhance education, improve healthcare, strengthen infrastructure, and promote sustainable development,” Wanjiku said.

She added that the Kenya Kwanza commitment to fulfilling its campaign manifestos is driven by a deep understanding of the aspirations and expectations of the Kenyan people.

Gatanga MP Edward Muriu on his part said that the Kenya Kwanza Wing is determined to create real, positive change that positively impacts the lives of citizens.

“As part of its economic development agenda, the Kenya Kwanza government aims to stimulate growth and job creation through targeted policies and investments.

"By focusing on key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and technology, the government seeks to create an enabling environment for entrepreneurship and attract both local and foreign investments,” Muriu said.

Additionally, Muriu said that the government's dedication to delivering on its campaign manifestos underscores its commitment to transparent and accountable governance.

He said the current government recognizes the importance of engaging with citizens, listening to their concerns, and actively involving them in decision-making processes to ensure their interests are represented.

President William Ruto two days ago while in Kirinyaga County made a firm commitment to fulfilling the Kenya Kwanza manifestos.

He emphasised that his commitment to the manifestos was not mere rhetoric but a sincere pledge.

He stressed the importance of effective leadership and collaboration among all stakeholders to realize the vision outlined in the manifestos.

"The Kenya Kwanza manifestos were not just campaign promises, but tools designed to advance economic progress," Ruto asserted.

He emphasized that the fulfillment of the manifestos would depend on Kenyans accepting their responsibility to pay taxes, as his administration aims to avoid relying on foreign loans to sustain the economy.

He called for unity and cooperation among Kenyans to overcome obstacles and achieve the desired progress.
