Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga has added his voice to the political war between Governor James Orengo and his deputy William Oduol telling the DG to stop holding the county at ransom and resign.

Oburu said what is happening is negatively tainting the county and is fast threatening service provision.

"If he feels it is completely impossible to work with the governor, he can vacate the position," Oburu said.

"I am greatly concerned with the happenings in Siaya because when two bulls are fighting, it is the grass which suffers."

Siaya County Assembly is currently considering an impeachment motion against the deputy governor.

Oburu said he will support the ouster motion if it is brought before the Senate.

He was speaking at Parliament buildings accompanied by Siaya Woman Representative Christine Ombaka.

Ombaka told Oduol to either respect his boss or vacate his position to allow the county to move forward.

"We are embarrassed as Siaya leaders because we have fought each other for no reason," Ombaka said.
