Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has confirmed to those who have been doubting his faith that he is a Christian.
Speaking during the National Prayer service at Safari Park, the DP said that there is already clear evidence since he is married to Pastor Dorcas Gachagua.
"For you to know that I am a Christian, you have the evidence because I am married to a pastor, Pastor Dorcas," Gachagua said on Wednesday.
He said many have also been questioning his faith.
"To those who also doubt my faith because I do not have a Christian name, I was baptized and after that named Geoffrey," he said.
"I was referred to as Geoffrey mostly when I used to be an administrator."
It was later in life that he decided it was time to change his identity for his new job description.
He said in his new job description, he was now going to serve the people and not rule the people as before.
The National Prayer Breakfast was focused on reconciliation and uniting the country. It brought together leaders from diverse sectors of society.
