Lawyer Donald Kipkorir's mother dies

She passed away while undergoing cancer treatment in India.

Lawyer Donald Kipkorir has lost his mother who was undergoing cancer treatment in India. 

His mother, Katarina died on Saturday. 

"My beloved mama, Katarina rested and is in the bosom of Abraham," Kipkorir said in a tweet on Sunday.

Kipkorir said his mother fought her aggressive cancer with "stoicism, fidelity to God and courage".

"She never once cried in her searing pain. I thank God for giving her to me. In the heavens, she finds peace and serenity," he said. 

"An Ode to Mum grief without a pang, void, dark, and drear. A stifled, drowsy, unimpassioned grief, which finds no natural outlet, no relief, In a word, or sigh, or tear- Samuel Taylor Coleridge."

His mother was flown to India on May 19.

Kipkorir then said the mother was to have an appointment with an oncologist.

"On my way to India with my mum. My Beloved mum Katarina has undergone so much pain. Praying that the best oncologists in India will give my mum respite and healing. May the heavens hear us," he said.

Kipkorir's mother has been ailing for quite some time.

He had been undergoing radiotherapy sessions here in Kenya before being jetted to India.
