Siaya County Deputy Governor William Oduol on Friday said he is an ODM Party life member despite the dispute that has been going on with Governor James Orengo.

Speaking during an interview, he dismissed allegations that he is being used by the Kenya Kwanza government noting that Raila Odinga is his party leader.

"I am a steadfast member of the Orange Democratic Movement, I have not crossed over," Oduol said.

The DG said the public is aware of the people of Siaya County and Luo Nyanza who have crossed over to Kenya Kwanza and they did it openly.

Oduol and Governor Orengo have been at differences for various reasons, including allegations of corruption and favoritism.

He however said impunity always fights back and that people who are worried about some of the vices he is trying to point out are quick to paint them with the corruption brush.

He said such people have the intention of besmirching their party position.

He asked the people of Siaya County and the public to give a deaf ear to the allegations that he is being used by UDA noting that he is faithful to his people.

The DG said he is going to fight to the absolute end without quitting.

"As long as I am on the side of the people and the truth, I am happy and prepared for the consequences," Oduol said.

He also reiterated saying the issue of resignation was not an issue adding that he was not scared of the impeachment threat.

Oduol has vowed not to resign from his position despite the wide rift between him and his boss.
