A chairperson of a crucial government agency is having a field day, allegedly harassing and intimidating staff. The man, who is seemingly hated and feared within the corridors of the agency, has reportedly planted spies in every department who feed him with information. Defying protocol, the man moves from one office to the other, including those of junior staff without alerting supervisors. He also holds parallel meeting in his office with junior staff apparently without adhering to the Mwongozo rules that do not vest executive power on parastatal bosses. Those close to him in the reporting hierarchy have apparently complained that the actions amount to sheer sabotage.

Is a state agency on the verge of hiring a former top officer following the dropping of cases against him? Well, a small bird tells us that the board could in the coming days name the officer to the helm of the state agency. The man who apparently enjoys the backing of who's who in Kenya Kwanza government, has told his friends that it is only a matter of days before he is confirmed for the job. While in office sometime back, the man was accused of working closely with Tangatanga MPs, seemingly eroding public confidence in the agency. Only time will tell whether he will come in a changed man or not.

A nasty fight has apparently erupted between two top officers at a state department. The war is so serious that those in the know say it could have been escalated to higher authorities in the last few weeks. The crux of the matter is that their boss is allegedly keen to have his relative take over the accounting role, accusing the other of incompetence. While the two officers have been fighting quietly, the matter exploded when the boss told the other one to his face that he expects a different accounting role designation purportedly from the National Treasury. Since then, hell broke loose with the two not seeing eye to eye.

A senior government official is said to have been astonished to see a statutory document apparently bearing his signature without his knowledge. The man, a self-confessed Christian, is said to have been left speechless after the document was circulated with some names. The official, seemingly aware of some unwritten protocols in government operations, said some courtesy could have been extended before the document was made public. While he is not regretting, he is keen on proper briefing before disclosure of sensitive information. He told his equally shocked friends he will find out about the breach and take charge.
