A man has been found murdered in Mlolongo, Machakos.

The body of the man aged between 25 and 30 years, was found lying near ABC church along Makanisa lane within Mlolongo Township in Athi River East on Friday.

The man is suspected to have been murdered at an unknown time on Thursday night.

Athi River East subcounty police commander Anderson Njagi said the scene had been processed and the body moved to the mortuary.

“The deceased is a well-known person, a farmer in Lukenya,” Njagi told the Star on the phone.

He said the body had visible stab wounds.

Other sources disclosed to the Star that the deceased was identified by one of his relatives.

The matter was reported at Mlolongo police station as a death incident report on May 19.

The body was moved to Machakos Level 5 hospital mortuary awaiting an autopsy.

DCI detectives from Mlolongo police station have launched a probe into the incident.
