Two suspects were on Tuesday arrested by police in Eldoret following a raid on shops within the town.
The officers recovered hundreds of mobile phones suspected to have been stolen.
Uasin Gishu county police commander Benjamin Mwanthi led the operation at Kamkunji estate where a man and a woman were arrested.
The duo was nabbed at a shop and are helping police with investigations.
The police boss asked members of the public who may have lost their phones to visit the Eldoret police station and identify the recovered phones and other electronic items.
Mwanthi said the security teams had also recovered consignments of illicit alcohol in the same area.
