Police are investigating an incident in which the body of a woman was found in a lodging where she had been with an unknown man in Pangani, Nairobi.

The body of the woman identified as Becky aged 32 was found in the lodging on Tuesday afternoon long after she had died.

Police who attended the scene said white foam was oozing from the woman’s mouth then.

She had checked into the room the previous day with a man whose records were not captured.

Come Tuesday, there was no response from the room when cleaners were conducting checks which prompted them to open the door which was not locked.

The man who was with her was missing. It is a requirement for all customers of hotel rooms and lodges to have their details taken by management.

The body was found lying on the bed and was processed before being moved to the mortuary for autopsy.

Police say they are investigating the incident and are yet to make an arrest and establish the cause of death and motive if any.

Meanwhile, police recovered a gun from a victim of an accident in Athi River area off Mombasa Road.

One Paul Musembi Kivindu had been involved in an accident and died before his double cabin car was taken to the local police station where a search was conducted and the Czeska pistol with 15 bullets were recovered.

Police said a civilian firearm certificate was recovered in the said vehicle. The accident happened on March 26 along the highway.

Another passenger on a private car died along Kanyonyo-Embu Road. Police said they are investigating the incidents.
