Siaya Governor James Orengo and Rarieda MP Otiende Omollo showed up to the Azimio protests wearing legal attires.
The two showed up in their outfits to the protest as lawyers.
The two had their advocates flap on top of white shirts and black suits.
Orengo on Sunday had described remarks by Interior CS Kindiki Kithure to change Article 37 of the constitution which allows for the right to picket an insult to democracy.
"The Kindiki regulations and the general disposition of Kenya Kwanza towards political rights and freedoms are an affront to the foundations of an open and democratic society. Kenya is in crisis compounded with an economic meltdown," Orengo said.
Omollo urged the Inspector General of Police to read the Constitution of Kenya 2010 before banning Azimio protests.
"Someone take to IG Koome a copy of the Constitution, and remind him of Articles 37 and 244(C)," Omollo said on Sunday.
Koome asked Kenyans to report to work as usual and conduct their daily duties as he pledged more security officers will be deployed.
“There will be more personnel all over the country to ensure safety for all. We will not be intimidated by anyone,” he said.
