Students to design First Lady's office logo in competition

Students in primary and secondary schools have been urged to take part in a logo design competition for the Office of the First Lady.

The students eligible to take part will be drawn from public and private institutions.

"Name, tagline and logo design competition for schools to be submitted by March 31," a tweet by the Ministry of Education reads.

The competition will have three entries, each with a different award.

"The submissions should be creative and speak to the Award Goal and objectives. Submissions should be in either digital or hardcopy format," the tweet reads.

The notice clarifies that physical submissions should be sent to the county directors of education.

"Digital entries should be emailed to [email protected]," it reads.

However, it is not clear what specific awards the winning students will receive.

The notice only refers to exciting prizes to be worn.

First Lady Rachel Ruto has been undertaking several projects that involve women and children.

The latest is the launching of a sanitary towels factory on February 9 named Sifa Pad and Praise Project. 

The project is an initiative of the Kenya Assemblies of God Church and World Serve International Kenya 

The sanitary pad factory has been set up with the assistance of Hands of Hope-Joyce Meyer Ministry World Missions.

Rachel was also installed as the patron of the Kenya Girl Guides Association KGGA on Friday.

This was done during the celebration of World Thinking Day 2023, in Karen, Nairobi.
