A group of women demonstrators confronted police officers along City Hall in Nairobi shouting ‘tuko njaa’ as part of the Azimio-organised protests.

The handful of women sang and danced in protest, chiding police who are manning the city streets to wade off protestors from accessing the CBD.

The women gathered adjacent to the county assembly.

“Tumesema bei ya unga lazima ishuke. Server ya IEBC lazima ifunguliwe,” the protesters said.

Some supporters of Azimio la Umoja one coalition were on Monday tear-gassed as they assembled at KICC in Nairobi.

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna who led the MPs had stepped out of their legislative zone and was leading the Azimio protesters.

The police in an attempt to stop them lobbed tear gas but the MPs joined and lead their way to KICC.
