While along the Juja Road, the police sprayed water on the protestors and Raila's convoy.

Police also lobbed teargas.

After dramatically leaving the Serena Hotel, the convoy went through Kamkunji, before arriving at Eastleigh.

While at Eastleigh, he addressed his supporters saying the struggle will continue until their demands are met.

Supporters were singing and dancing to the tune of a song dedicated to Raila, as they manoeuvred Nairobi.

"Ya Baba! Jeshi ya Baba!"

"Mambo bado, ndio tumeanza," he said while supporters were chanting 'Ndio Baba!'

He also said the demos will be held every Monday.  As he was moving through the streets, the crowd increased.

Security has, however, been heightened along the City Hallway with KICC and Supreme Court being inaccessible to anyone.

Both plain clothing and uniformed police officers have been reinforced in the streets.

Nairobi and Kisumu have been the most affected.

Before the protests began, Raila had called on Kenyans to awaken the spirit of fighting oppressive regimes as they have done in the past.

He clarified that the match to the president's office is not about any tribe, race or religion, but it's all about the well-being of Kenyans.

Raila's planned address, however, failed to materialise following a confrontation with police.
