The Italian Head of State Sergio Mattarella will visit the Luigi Broglio Space Center in Malindi, Kilifi.
Speaking during a joint press briefing at State House, President William Ruto said the project is funded by the Italian government with the support of his administration.
"We agreed that our bilateral cooperation should enhance mutual benefits of the centre's output in scientific and technological research for sustainable development in Kenya and globally," the President said.
The Luigi Broglio Space Center which is made up of two segments was named after its founder and has been managed in the country since 1960.
The segments are the ocean-based, and land segment, with the data reception centre, mainly monitors ground-based satellite and launch activities.
Mattarella is in Kenya for talks aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
He arrived on Monday evening for a four-day official visit.

“The visit will help promote the development of key sectors such as water, agriculture, and tourism in the country,” Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua said in a statement.
It is during their bilateral engagement that several Memorandums of Understanding were signed.
