Linturi makes new changes in state corporations

Agriculture and Livestock Development Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi has appointed Duke Mainga Ondiba as chairperson of the board of trustees of the commodities fund.

Ondiba is the former Kisii Culture, Sports, Youth and Social Services executive.

“ The Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development appoints Duke Mainga Ondiba Echate to be the chairperson of the board of Trustees of the Commodities Fund, for three years effective February 10, 2023,” the notice read.

Duke Mainga unsuccessfully vied for the Bomachoge Borabu MP seat on a UDA ticket.

The CS through the same notice revoked the appointment of Danson Ngaari Mwangi.

In a similar gazette notice, the CS revoked the appointment of a board member to the New Kenya Co-operative Creameries Limited.

“The Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development revokes the appointment of David Maina Kamiru as a member of the Board of Directors of the New Kenya Co-operative Creameries Limited,” the notice read.

David Maina had been appointed to the board of the New Kenya Co-operatives Creameries on May 3, 2019, by former Industry, Trade and Co-operatives CS Peter Munya.
